Multiple Galleries on a Single Page
2008-11-18, 10:49

An example of a gallery that I’ve coded for the use on my site. I’ve done this in order to handle multiple sets of photos on a single webpage in an orderly manner.

The gallery uses a table to display the photos. You can navigate the entire collection with the „forward” (»») and „back” (««) buttons below it. Each gallery can be navigated independently. The appearance can be customized using CSS skins, while the details (rows, cols, titles, navigator) are controlled by snippet parameters.

The gallery takes advantage of the lightbox class to view a single photo (it’s optional; the bottom gallery displays enlarged photos in a popup window). However, you need to provide, link and trigger appropriate JavaScript classes on your own.

When I have spare time (no earlier than in 2009, though), I will make necessary improvements, add details, write an installation guide and provide the MODx community with the source code for the gallery.
